K-Power Courses®
What is K-Power®
Breakthrough discoveries in the
integration of eastern and western medicine have shown us that we can attain
real time feedback from the body. By testing the strength of the muscles which
are powered by the energetic pathways within the body we can access this
information immediately. This testing; described as “Kinesiology”, opens up a
whole new approach to working with the whole person.
By having immediate feedback from the body, the K-Power®
practitioner/trainer has powerful tools at his disposal to create balance within
the body. Once structural, emotional and nutritional balance is attained, the
natural healing energies of the body are free to work unimpeded.
K-Power® classes bring these amazing techniques in a condensed, targeted
format to healthcare providers and laypersons alike. K-Power® Global Health and
Fitness, in association with PKP International, is pleased to announce the
launch of Dr. Bruce and Joan Dewe's K-Power® workshop series. After several
years of writing, editing and running test workshops, the K-Power® series is now
available.
Manual
Therapists Series
This is a series of Professional
Development Workshops for manual therapists and body workers, who want some
kinesiology muscle testing knowledge to apply to their own specialty. Whether
you are a chiropractor, osteopath, physical/occupational/massage therapist, or
athletic trainer, the K-Power® for Manual Therapists series will teach you
powerful tools that you can use immediately in practice.
5-Element Fundamentals and Muscle Testing
Basics for Manual Therapists
This workshop contains K-Power®’s basic toolbox. These five
foundation skills enable you to apply muscle-testing knowledge to your specialty
area. In K-Power® we use muscles as indicators in much the same way that an
electrician uses a multimeter. The accurate feedback the body gives through
detecting muscular imbalances enables us to detect the source of energy
imbalance in the body and whether theyare, for example, structural, chemical,
nutritional or emotional.
Learn about:
-
the
fundamental concepts of Five-Element theory, the ‘great-8’ muscles;
-
the CV
and GV energy reservoirs;
-
six basic
balancers – neuro lymphatic, neuro emotional, neuro vascular, meridians,
nutrition and accumulation points;
-
four
fundamental techniques - ESR, origin and insertion, spindles, golgi; and
-
circuit
locating and how to shift blocked energy using a powerful goal-oriented
balancing process.
Prerequisite:
None.
This class is similar enough to the other 5-Element class from
the Mind & Body series. If a person takes both, the price is half price on the
second of the two classes.
Core Muscles and
Techniques
When the core
muscles are weak or not in balance a common side effect is back pain. People in
the gym who work their rectus abdominis with crunches but fail to strengthen
their transverse abdominals commonly experience lower back pain. Back pain is
common because so many muscles have to contract and relax to allow a person to
stand and move.
The main objective of this workshop is to learn three prime techniques that you
can apply to every muscle you test in the future. As well as developing skill
and understanding in evaluating and balancing muscle energy imbalances in the 13
core muscles of the torso, you will learn core techniques like muscle stretch
response, sustained muscle use, hidden muscle failure. Having learned the 13
core muscles and applied the three core techniques, you will learn the More
Mode, surrogate muscles, the circuit retaining mode, the important principle of
muscle reactivity and how to correct reactive muscles.

concerned with sharing ways to increase your stress tolerance, renew your
depleted resources for resisting stress and learning new skills for managing
stress. Prerequisite:

Mastery of Emotional Stress Release
Frontal/occipital
holding is a powerful kinesiology stress release technique. Some Kinesiologists
claim this alone relieves mental and emotional stress.
Go beyond the F/O
hold with K-Power® Mastery of Emotional Stress Release. Develop further
understanding and skills to assist clients to find new resources, see new
possibilities, use their senses and intuition, state what they are feeling, want
and are willing to do to achieve this, with or without the use of imagery,
symbolic encapsulation and picture frame, active listening or role play. Assist
clients defuse stress related to (but not limited to) challenges to their
authority and terminating relationships and use the hypothesis of an older,
wiser self.
A total of 20 emotional stress diffusion techniques packaged in a two-day,
hands-on, interpersonal, experiential intensive that will make a positive
difference in the way you work with clients.
Prerequisite:
Stress Release made easy or any Kinesiology training
in muscle testing and ESR. (TFH 1)

Tibetan Energy and Vitality
Clients often want to improve their energy level to help them look and feel
better. Low energy, fatigue, pain and loss of motivation are all signs that the
body is functioning at less than its best.
The Tibetan Energy and Vitality workshop was designed by Dr Bruce and Joan Dewe
to teach easy, practical stress management techniques.“We seek to empower people
- to give them tools, fresh hope and to show them ways to move ahead out of
their present situations, whether it be pain, dysfunction, overwhelm, weariness,
fatigue, frustration or apparent hopelessness.” The workshop teaches a number of
techniques originally developed by the people of Tibet to aid healing and
improve energy and vitality. Prerequisite:
