Dr. George Goodheart began combining acupuncture
theory with a variety of western discoveries that involved touch reflexes and
muscle testing. He discovered that there was a relationship not only between
meridians and major organs but also muscles. He called his system Applied
Kinesiology. Today taught exclusively to MD’s and Chiropractors.
One of Dr. Goodheart’s earliest students, Dr.
John Thie, saw it's potential and developed a simpler system for laypeople. He
called it Touch For Health (TFH).
While Touch for Health was originally designed
with the layperson in mind, many health professionals have found it to be a
wonderful complementary approach to enhance their practice.
TFH is a very effective system for stress and
pain reduction. TFH uses muscle testing to determine imbalances in the body's
acupuncture system. TFH Kinesiology looks beyond symptoms and does not diagnose,
treat or prescribe named diseases. Once imbalances are identified, a variety of
gentle touch techniques can be used to release energy blockages and allow the
body’s innate healing processes to heal itself.
The list of challenges for which TFH Kinesiology
can be effective is endless. All kinds of conditions, both chronic and acute,
have responded to these natural methods. Physical pain such as headaches,
backaches, TMJ and repetitive strain injuries are a few of the many body issues
that have been helped quite effectively. Also insomnia and jet lag respond quite
well to this approach. Mental performance can be dramatically improved as these
techniques enhance neurological functioning. Kinesiology is also very effective
in releasing fears, phobias, unconscious self-sabotage and emotional trauma.
Today one of the most widely used and fastest
growing wellness systems in the world, TFH has been taught in over 100 countries
and the Touch For Health manual has been translated into over 20 languages.

Descriptions
Top Ten Pain Releasers
This a fun and powerful workshop that will introduce you to a wide variety of
simple and highly effective techniques for relieving stress and pain. Quality
muscle testing will be taught along with many other techniques like the
self-test, auricular massage, meridian tracing, energy stroking, neurovascular
emotional balancing, specific neuromuscular reset technique, neurolymphatic
massage, pain relief through music and the Brazilian toe massage, an excellent
natural remedy for insomnia and nausea. 7CEs.
Touch for Health I
Touch for Health I is for laypeople and health professionals. You will learn the
art of muscle testing and the basic procedure to balance the body's muscles and
acupuncture meridians as presented in Dr. John Thie's book, Touch for Health.
Learn skills to increase your energy level, reduce stress and pain, increase
mental clarity and enhance immune system function. The basic balancing system
includes how to test and correct 14 muscles/meridians, including the spinal
reflexes, neurolymphatic reflexes, neurovascular points, and meridians. You will
also learn how to assess nutritional support for the muscles, how to effectively
reduce emotional stress and pain by touch. 15-16 CE's.
All participants will also learn how to balance
non-communicative living beings, including babies, debilitated humans and
animals by performing on each other as surrogates. Practicing on debilitated
humans, animals, babies and/or young children is only possible upon request and
availabilities. Please note that attempts are made so that participants with
allergies and/or fears of certain animals will not be exposed to them. The
practice of TFH1 on animals is not required, and is only optional.
Touch for Health II
Touch for Health II This course builds on the skills taught in level 1. Learn 14
new muscle tests and additional corrections especially helpful for back pain,
strengthening the core muscles, assessing the legs and neck. The Five Elements
theory and Midday/Midnight law from acupuncture will be applied through a
process for muscle and meridian corrections. Three self balancing techniques
will be taught along with other pain control skills and short cuts to improve
efficiency. 15-16 CE's.
Touch for Health III
Touch for Health III This course goes more in depth with the application of the
Five Elements Theory in balancing skills using color and emotions. You will
experience how balancing with goals and emotions brings results that are much
deeper and longer lasting. Another 14 additional muscles are taught, along with
pain tapping, gait testing and acupressure holding points. Chronic muscle
problems will be addressed by the Reactive Muscle correction that clears
long-standing patterns quickly and permanently in most cases. 15-16 CE's.
Touch for Health IV
Touch for Health IV This course reviews the 42 muscle balance expanding how to
test all muscles both standing and laying. Learn the Tibetan Figure 8 Energy
technique and also how to effectively release traumatic muscle memory through
the postural stress release method. You will also be shown how to prioritize and
utilize all the skills in the TFH system in an easy, practical format. 15-16
CE's.
